Bridge to Freedom™ is a not for profit organization supported by member churches partnering with us to advance the kingdom of God by making disciples, healing the broken, displaced and often disgraced members of our society.
Statistically over 50% of the men and woman released from prison return to prison within the first three years because they do not have the maturity or support needed to effectively transition back into their communities. Unemployment rates for ex-offenders are double the rate of the regular population.
Ex-offenders often return to a life of crime out of desperation to support themselves and their families. Out of hopelessness they return to drugs and alcohol or the gangs that offer them a counterfeit support system. Many end up homeless or back in prison.
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'” (Matthew 25:37-40)
