A Bridge To Freedom Production

"And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."
— from the letter to the Corinthians

We aim to help people heal through the art of storytelling.

There is a power in telling your story. In being vulnerable with an audience. We recognize that there are some stories that need to be told in order for others to heal. B2F Productions wants to come alongside returning citizens to craft stories and tell them in ways that bring healing and reconciliation to themselves and the audience!

Some Sort of Saint

We are in pre-production of the new play Some Sort of Saint written by James Crumb and Linda Bright Clay. It will take the stage in May of 2024. In the meantime keep your eyes peeled for a possible short film!

Bridge to Freedom has always been about bringing healing and championing dignity in the lives of Chicagoans. We are asking you to join hands with us so that we can bring forth renewal in the city of Chicago through storytelling. Our production team hopes you will consider partnering with us to professionally produce a filmed stage performance of Mica's reconciled life titled Some Sort of Saint.

Are you interested in bringing healing to Chicago through entertainment and media? Join Bridge to Freedom in our new project to tell the incredible life story of Dr. Mica Battle. Give a story, gain a life!

Learn More About Bridge to Freedom

For 15 years B2F has housed men and women coming home from prison. B2F has been in four different locations. Due to the Covid pandemic B2F rebranded their housing component.

B2F also assists men and women in obtaining affordable housing in south suburbs.

Many returning from prison find it difficult or impossible to rent homes or apartments due to their backgrounds. B2F has removed this barrier to make a seemingly out of reach dream a reality for previously incarcerated individuals.

Within this housing program, financial planning and a savings programs are implemented to prepare the formerly incarcerated person to one day purchase a home of their own.
